Trivia

  • On the billboard, there is an advertisement for the commercial building West Benton Pet Supplies. Other stations that have this ad are Leighton City, Starryloch, and Whitefield.
  • In V1.8, R022 (Beechley <> Whitefield, formerly Stepford Victoria <> Whitefield) was changed to skip this station and is the only route that skips this station.
  • Despite this station being called "Whitefield Lido" (in which the word "lido" means a swimming pool or a beach), prior to V1.8, there was no lido, or any bodies of water nearby, just trees and a road near the entrance.
    • This changed in V1.8, with an actual swimming pool being added next to the station, along with its upgrade.
  • Even though this station has the term "Whitefield" in its name, it is nowhere close to Whitefield. This station is 3 stations apart, with a 3.11 mile (or 5.01 kilometres) distance from Whitefield.
  • There was once a pair of unused Tramlink platforms located under this station, but they were demolished when the station was released.
  • Walking to Stepford United Football Club is possible by using the road running along side the railway.
  • Before V1.8, trains exiting Whitefield Lido Siding would arrive in Platform 3. If Platform 2 was occupied, trains on the line could also use a crossover track into Platform 3, however this rarely happened as the Whitefield branch is rarely busy.
    • The siding was demolished in V1.8, with Platform 3 also being removed.
  • For a while, the line was lifted north of here likely because most of the stations were completely rebuilt. Whitefield and Stepford High Street were the only stations that weren't rebuilt. Stepford High Street was later rebuilt in V1.6, but Whitefield and Whitefield Lido have remained basically the same.
  • On 13 November 2021, Charlie_RBX published a sneak peek of a refurbished Whitefield Lido, also featuring an NGv3 Class 720.
    • Because of only 2 platforms being present in the image, some members of the community were worried that Whitefield Lido Siding would be demolished as part of the upgrade.
    • This was confirmed when V1.8 was released as the siding is no longer present.
  • This station, along with Woodhead Lane and Faraday Road, are the few stations to have non-concrete platform bases.
