Trivia

  • Prior to The Big Update, this station had no entrance and was very under-detailed. Despite considerable investment in enhancing it, the station still remains uninterested in by passengers and drivers alike.
  • In The Big Update, one of the two island platforms was demolished, with the singular remaining one still being used.
  • Despite this station being called "Water Newton", there are no bodies of water near this station.
  • A section of track near this station has a terminating junction. There was also one at Leighton City prior to its upgrade in V1.4.1 (only used between The Big Update and V1.1) and there's one currently in use west of James Street.
  • After the V1.7 update, the station and the platform layout had changed and is now based off of Pitsea. The station has two tracks turning right and two tracks continuing straight ahead. Essentially, Water Newton is one of 10 stations that got an upgrade in the update.[1]
  • After the V1.7 upgrade, platforms were added for the Stepford Express/AirLink passing tracks. However, they are not in use and no platform numbers are given to them.
    • Among them, only the eastbound passing platform can be accessed from the eastern end of Platform 2, while there is no footbridge to the westbound one. There is however a building with an entrance on the westbound platform but it is not accesible to the public and the door remains closed.
  • In V1.8, train announcements to Water Newton was changed to pronounce "Water New'n" instead of "Water Newton".
  • As of V1.9, this is one of the two Stepford Connect stations that still does not have wheelchair access to platforms. The other is Stepford Airport Parkway.
  • At the end of Platform 1, when walking left and into the bushes, there is an AWS ramp bizzarely placed there.
