Previous Generation or Old Generation, more commonly referred as 'Paper Train' or 'Legacy Train', is a name given to trains that do not have an interior and a "paper" exterior (no windows, door interlock lights, functioning doors, etc.) There are only a few "seats" inside them, but they were just blocks on the floors of the trains. Some of the trains are based on trains from the Haughton Foundry's Mind the Gap game.
From V1.3 onwards, SCR began to replace these trains with Next Generation versions which provided more detailed models, and the replacement was completed at the release of V1.5.
