Trivia

  • With a gap of 0.24 miles or 386 metres, Port Benton and Morganstown Docks are the two closest stations across all Waterline routes and across the whole SCR network.
    • Because of the short distance between this station and Morganstown Docks, there isn't enough time to play the "We will shortly be arriving at" announcement between these stations.
  • Before Waterline services started calling here, Port Benton only had one platform that was isolated from the rest of the line. This made it the smallest station in the game until the Waterline services opened. Currently, the smallest stations are Newry Harbour, James Street and Airport Terminal 1.
  • Port Benton is the only station where dispatchers can dispatch Stepford Connect and Waterline services at the same time.
  • This is one of four interchanges between Waterline and Stepford Connect. The other three are Benton, Beaulieu Park/Whitney Green and Morganstown.
  • If you want to, you can walk from Port Benton to Morganstown Docks via road. Before V1.7 was released, you could also walk to Benton, Benton Bridge and Cambridge Street Parkway by road. When V1.7 was released, it saw the redevelopment of the surrounding Benton area, which included Port Benton being cut off from said stations.
  • It is possible to get off a Waterline train from this station, run to Morganstown Docks and catch the same train due to the short distance.
  • This station has a terminus loop like Airport Terminal 2.
  • Port Benton is the only Waterline station that is operated by Connect. Benton does not count, because it's operated by Transport For Stepford.
    • Before SCR Version 1.5, Waterline was a subfranchise of Connect, and all signs were dark blue with Connect logo. However, this station had white signs, which suggested that this station is "more Connect than Waterline". When spawned as a Dispatcher, you would have had the Connect uniform on.
  • The loop line from Port Benton to Benton used by Connect trains is the only part of the SCR network that is overgrown. TramLink does too, but it is not driveable. It also has old speed limit signs that seem to date back to the days of British Rail. For some reason, there is a piece of grey grass.
  • This is a step-free access station but only to platform 1, and interchange between platforms 2 and 3 only, as stair access is required for the footbridge connecting platform 1 (and the station entrance as well) with the other two platforms.
  • Before V1.7, Port Benton was not near any port. After the aforementioned update, Port Benton serves a major port with many container ships on the River Ben.
  • This station and the Airport Terminals are the only stations to be part of a loop.
  • Charlie_RBX previewed this station rebuilt on the 17th October 2021, evident of the surroundings. The Waterline variant of the mesh Class 730 was also revealed.
