Passenger Information Screens or PIS are information screens installed on most trains in SCR, usually located in the middle to the end of the coach. These screens provides visual information to passengers onboard about the train's destination, next stop and other information.
Types[]
Although the size and holding case for each type is different, the overall format of the PIS in each category is the same.

Trivia[]
- Passenger Information Screens were first introduced to SCR when the first Next Generation trains debuted, and were gradually added to almost the rest of the fleet during their NG Updates. At that time, the screens were non-functional, and would only show 'Welcome on Board' or 'Welcome on board (Connect/Waterline/Airlink/Express)' at all times. It was only until V1.7.1. when they had finally become functional.
- Some information screens are too big as most of the Passenger Information Screens are slimmer and smaller in real life.
- Many trains, including the Class 321 and Class 465 for example have their PISes at every door of the carriage, not at the middle of the coaches, which makes the PIS design inaccurate.
- On the 30th of December former Managing Director Charlie_RBX posted a sneek peek of new scrolling information boards that would come "soon" in V1.7.1.
- When the PIS System was released, there was a bug with the passenger information screens on some trains. On the Class 195 they would say "We are now at Stepford East" (which was not served by Waterline) until you arrive at a station. On the Class 730/0 (Waterline) would say "Welcome on board Stepford Connect" instead of the correct operators they belong to. For Waterline trains, the signs said "This train terminates here" at every station. The above bugs have been patched now.
- The PISes on the HST, Class 68, Class 195, Class 331, Class 707 and Class 717 coaches are the only information boards for passengers with the operator's logo.
- The PISes in the Class 801 and Class 802 are the only screens showing the appropriate letter of the current coach.
- On the Class 380, when approaching Bodin or Coxly, instead of scrolling, the screens would show one still text, as it is too short to need to scroll.
- The announcements make mention of interchanges, but the interchanges don't show up on the PIS screens at all.
- The PIS on the Class 730 is not very accurate, as in real-life the background is supposed to be white and the text should be black. Also, the PIS in real-life shows the time and the train operator.
- The PIS on the Class 345 also has inaccuracies, as in real-life, it doesn't show the calling points and the text is supposed to say 'Train to' instead of 'This train is for'. It also doesn't show the interchanges on the PIS.
