Trivia[]
- This depot was added in The Big Update, replacing Winstree Depot.
- In V1.8, the location of the depot had been moved and number of spawning lanes shrunk down from 4 lanes to 1 lane.
- Previously, the depot was located between Leighton Stepford Road and Leighton City, facing westbound. After the aforementioned update, this depot is now located between Rocket Parade and Leighton Stepford Road, near the BanTech Systems HQ and facing eastbound.
- Before V1.8, this depot retained the legacy depot design which is only seen at train spawn menu since V1.9.0, and also formerly used in the old Benton TMD, old Faraday Road Depot (Now Faraday Road TMD) & the demolished Coxly Depot.
- Before V1.8, if the player chooses to do R003, R039, R056, R057, or R076, they are able to complete the entire route from the depot, as Leighton Stepford Road was the main station and all trains terminated there instead of Leighton City.
- Since V1.1, this depot has been used less frequently, but with the addition of the new AirLink extension and the release of Stepford Express, it has become a popular spawning point.
- This is the second depot to spawn trains from more than one operator, the first was Stepford Depot.
- Before V1.8, trains on R081 (Stepford Central <> Llyn-by-the-Sea (super fast)) could not be spawned here. They had to be spawned all the way back at Faymere Green TMD (Northbound) instead.
- Before V1.8, this depot was good for grinding points with Stepford Connect routes like R037, as it is close to a terminus. Willowfield Station Depot also has this trait. Nowadays, this depot is rather used to grind points using AirLink routes R056 and R057.
- The Class 801 train on the depot is strangely classified as a Class 802, according to the TOPS classification on the train. This is likely due to both trains sharing the same model, with only different operator liveries.
- A similar phenomenon could be seen at Benton TMD and Stepford Depot.
- Although this depot is called "Leighton Depot", it is displayed as "Leighton Carriage Sidings" on the building and the tunnel entrance near this depot.
