Hemdon Park is a small through station located along the Willowfield Branch. Stepford Connect services to Willowfield, Stepford Victoria, Stepford United Football Club and Berrily call here.

Hemdon Park opened in Version 1.6. It features short platforms which cannot accommodate most 5-car trains, or the 6-car Class 717. Situated next to the station is a stadium, which is home to the Hemdon Park Rangers.

Trivia[]

  • This station, along with Willowfield, was not previewed before V1.6.
  • This station doesn't serve many routes unlike Beechley and Willowfield. Despite this, it is not considered a limited service station.
  • This is the only station along the Willowfield branch to have a name that was not used in the past, as both Beechley and Willowfield were planned to be served by Metro.
  • R032, R035, and R036 (which is exclusive to the Class 68 and Class 444) are not scheduled to stop at this station.
  • The station structure most likely resembles Reading Green Park station. At the time of Hemdon Park's opening, Reading Green Park was still under construction. It opened to the public on 27 May 2023.
  • This station's platforms are slightly shorter than the length of a 5-car train. When a 5 or 6-car train approaches this station, the announcer will state that the doors of the rear coach will not open. This also happens at Woodhead Lane, New Harrow, Elsemere Pond, and East Berrily.
    • Despite having a relatively short platform, the Class 377 and Class 707 fit perfectly on the platform, even though the last door on the 5th coach still will not open on the platform.
      • This bug was silently fixed in V1.8.1, although the announcer still states that the doors on the rear coach will not open, similar to the case of the double Class 143 at Morganstown Docks and Whitney Green.
  • This station, Ashlan Park, and Beaulieu Park are the only stations in SCR to have "Park" in their name.
  • This station is near the stadium of the Hemdon Park Rangers, and the Beechley Royal Upholstery House, a commercial building along the Willowfield line.
    • The Beechley Royal Upholstery House is not in Beechley.
    • The initials spell out "BRUH".
  • The name "Hemdon Park" may be a reference to "Hampden Park," a football stadium in Glasgow, UK. Glasgow also has a football club called Rangers F.C.
  • Just north of this station, there is a line of trees and a bridge over nothing with a right of way for a rail line that leads to a stop with grass platforms and no name. Innovations Director BanTech stated that this line is meant to be similar to an old and abandoned railway, similar to the unused track beds at Beechley.
    • This could be a reference to the Beeching Axe which took place across much of the United Kingdom during the early 1960s.
  • Despite having two ways in and out, Hemdon Park only has one set of ticket barriers, which is located in the small concourse.
  • This station only has wheelchair access to the southbound platform, the northbound platform can only be accessed by using a footbridge with stairs. There are no lifts.
    • Hence, passengers requiring step-free access should stay on their train until Willowfield for inverse changing if they are travelling to this station using northbound services.
    • Passengers requiring step-free access travelling to Willowfield from this station should travel to Beechley, and inverse change there.
