Trivia[]
- Prior to V1.7, this station resembled Salford Crescent station. After the aforementioned update, it was changed to be based off of Pitsea station. This station has two tracks turning right and two tracks continuing straight ahead. Essentially, Water Newton is one of 10 stations that got an upgrade in the update.[1]
- Prior to this upgrade, a section of track near this station had a terminating junction. There was also one at Leighton City prior to its upgrade in V1.4.1 (only used between The Big Update and V1.1) and one at James Street prior to its upgrade in V1.10.
- After the aforementioned upgrade, platforms were added for the AirLink/Stepford Express passing tracks. However, they are not in use and no platform numbers are given to them.
- Prior to The Big Update, this station had no entrance and was very under-detailed. Despite considerable investment in enhancing it, the station still remains uninterested in by passengers and drivers alike.
- In The Big Update, one of the two island platforms was demolished, with the singular remaining one still being used.
- Despite this station being called "Water Newton", there are no bodies of water near this station.
- In V1.8, train announcements to Water Newton was changed to pronounce "Water New'n" instead of "Water Newton".
- It is possible to walk to Rosedale Village from here within a few minutes.
- As of V1.10, this is the only station in the whole game to not have step-free access of any kind. Eden Quay does not count, as it still has step-free access at platform 1.
