The British Rail Class 365 Networker Express is an electric-multiple unit manufactured by ABB, in use on Stepford Connect. These trains are formed of 4 coaches, and cost 1,500 Points. This train was revealed with the Class 323 on Discord on 4 August 2018, and released on 17 November 2023 on the 1.10.12 update, replacing the Class 465.

For around 5 years, the Class 365 was proposed for service but it was never officially released in any patch or update. Eventually on the 12th November 2023, another sneak peek of this train, this time as a NGv3 model, was released, signifying its long-awaited introduction into service on Stepford Connect.

Trivia[]

Class365

First proposed model of this train, in paper form, released on 4th August 2018.

  • As BanTech stated, this train and the Class 323 might release after all trains are converted into Next Generation trains. Product Developer Mattyx2013 confirmed this in a Twitter reply.
    • It would have been unlikely for this train to be introduced as its paper model form, as they have been phased out and replaced with Next Generation models.
    • On the 12th November 2023, tjh44 released a sneak peek of what appears to be the cab of a Class 365 at Whitefield Siding, as a mesh model, signifying its long-awaited introduction onto Stepford Connect.
      • Many players at first incorrectly identified the train in said sneak peek as the cab of a Class 465. Although both trains are in the same family of Networkers, the Class 365 has different buttons than the Class 465 just above the traction brake controller. Additionally, the speed meter shows a red-marked speed limit of 100 miles per hour, fitting the Class 365.
  • The bogies seen in the paper model picture for this train are not standard SCR bogies. They are Haughton Foundry bogies.
  • This train is known in real life as the "Happy Train" due to its grin-like intake on the front.
  • This is one of six trains in the game that are defunct in real life, with the others being the Class 458/0, Class 143, Class 379, Class 508, and the to-be-added Class 313.
    • This is also the second train to be introduced into the game after the trains were withdrawn in real life. Preceeding this is the Class 143 preceding and following this is the to-be-added Class 313.
  • These trains replaced the Class 465 units in the V1.10.12 update. This was done as the Class 365 has a pantograph, a function Stepford County Railway will eventually support, while the Class 465 uses third rail, which is not planned to be functional.
  • In the purchase logs, this train is shown as SC465 instead of SC365 as it was meant to be a direct replacement for the Class 465, so anyone who owned said train prior to its removal would keep their purchase.
  • The Class 365 shares the same broken sounds as the Class 465, with a broken and odd accelerating and braking sound, and the same door chime and horn.
  • The Class 365 is unusually out of scale, being much smaller than it should be in real life. For example, it is shorter in-game than the Class 143, despite being 9.6 inches taller in real life.
  • In real life, this train was stripped off of it's dual-voltage abilities when it was transferred to WAGN (Great Northern and First Capital Connect's predecessor)
