Trivia[]

  • These trains are very similar to the Class 170 on Stepford Connect, with minor differences being the length, brand and price. The crucial difference between the Class 170 and 171 is also modelled in SCR, that being the different coupler.
  • These trains (along with the Class 195/0 and the Class 143) are common on the Morganstown Shuttle and R013.
  • These trains are the fastest 2-coach trains (alongside the Class 195/0) in SCR.
  • This is one of the shortest trains on SCR, alongside the Class 165/0, Class 195/0, Class 158/9 and Class 143 single. This is the only 2-coach train on SCR that has only one variant.
  • In V1.5, this train received a new livery but retained the old logo. This was changed in V1.6.
  • Then-Managing Director Charlie_RBX sneak peeked the mesh rebuild of this train, modelled by Product Developer MrTransportGuy, on the 4th July 2021, along with its sister train the Class 170.
    • They were later released on the 7th July 2021, as part of V1.7.4.
    • Before V1.8.1, this train was the only 2 coach train in NGv3.
  • Unlike its real-life counterpart, the Class 171 in SCR has no disabled toilets, only two standard ones at the end of each coach.
