Template:TrainThe Class 380 Desiro is an electric multiple-unit manufactured by Siemens, in use on Stepford Connect. These trains are formed of 3 (380/0) or 4 (380/1) coaches, and cost 1125 points (1500 normally).

It was released on the 10th of May 2018, as part of Version 1.0.11 and was featured in one of the thumbnails for Stepford County Railway. In the V1.5 update, Class 380 became the first train to receive the new livery for Stepford Connect.

Trivia

  • The Class 380's are split into 2 different types: The Class 380/0 and Class 380/1. The only difference between the two is the number of coaches, and the numbers on the front sign, but only visible on the spawn screen.
  • This train was the first to have more than one variant.
  • The Class 380 was the least used train on Connect, until it became NG, as well as its final days as paper.
  • This train was the last legacy/paper Connect train to be upgraded to Next-Generation. This was also be the last oldest non-Houghton Foundry model train. It was the last AC Electric train to not have a visible pantograph.
  • In real life, the Class 380 is part of the Desiro UK family built between 2009 and 2011 for use by Abellio ScotRail, where they still operate these days. There are 6 members of the Desiro UK family with 4 of the trains available ingame. The trains available in-game are the Class 185, Class 350, Class 360, and the Class 380. The trains not available are the Class 444 and the Class 450.
  • This train has had a Next Generation upgrade sneak peeked with a brand new Connect livery.
  • The door chimes match to the Class 379 and Class 387, the chimes used to apply to Class 332 and Class 333.
  • The Next Generation version of this train appears in Change is Coming, which showcased the new Guard role.
  • This was one of the last trains to be upgraded, alongside the Class 165, Class 166 and Class 730.
  • This train became very common after the next generation sneak peek, as this train was the first to recieve the new livery.
  • This train was unfavourable by drivers before the next generation upgrade due to poor modelling and it being one of the last previous-gen trains.
