Overview

The Class 379 Electrostar is used for WaterLine service. This train has 4 cars, costs 1688 points (2250 normally) and has a maximum speed of 100 MPH.

Trivia

  • This train was revealed on the 7th of June 2019.
  • This train replaced the Class 387 on WaterLine, which has now been relocated to the AirLink fleet. The Class 387s top speed was too fast for WaterLine at 110 mph. The Class 379s top speed is shared with other WaterLine trains.
  • In real life, these trains are currently operated by Greater Anglia, and are soon to be replaced by Class 745 and Class 720.
  • The door chime and horn are similar to the Class 387 on AirLink.
  • If you had purchased the former Class 387 on Waterline, you actually don't need to purchase this train. It will automatically be available for you.
  • These trains are mostly used for services on routes R011 (Newry - Connolly), R012 (Newry Harbour - Connolly) and R014 (Newry - James Street). This is because all the stations along these routes can fully accommodate 4-car trains.
  • These train are similar to the Class 387s and Class 377s, except that the 377 has different sounds.
  • In Version 1.5, this train got a new livery.
