The Class 360 Desiro is an electric multiple-unit manufactured by Siemens, in use on AirLink. These trains are formed of 4 (360/1) or 5 (360/2) coaches and cost 1125 points (1500 normally).

Trivia

  • These trains are mechanically similar to the Class 350s, but without a front gangway as there were issues with sighting with the gangway design noted by the Health and Safety Executive.
  • The max speed of these trains is likely to increase to 110 MPH as part of their transfer to EMR, which would make them the third Airlink train to have a 110 MPH max speed, after the Class 802 and Class 387. A new 2+2 interior will come with this too as part of their refurbishment.
  • The Next Generation Class 360/1 (in SCR) has the same horn and door chime as Class 185 trains while the 360/2 has the Class 350 sounds. The idle remains the same on both variants. The legacy Class 360s both used to have identical sounds to the Class 350.
  • Greater Anglia and TfL Rail are the only operators in real life of the Class 360. The 360/1 and 360/2 both are similar to Greater Anglia (soon EMR) and TfL Rail respectively.
  • If you buy this train, you get the other variant of this train for free (In this case, /2),.This also is valid for the Class 158, Class 185, Class 220/Class 221, Class 195, Class 332, Class 331, Class 380 and the Class 755.
  • The door closing chime on this train is too high and too fast, the Stepford sound was taken from the Class 707 which has a different sound.
  • This is the only train that different variants have different sounds.
  • These trains are notable for their extremely poor modelling, looking rushed and unusually flat.
  • In real life, this train is unique as with the 360/1 the number is placed on the right hand side above the lights but the 360/2 has it on the right hand side under the lights. This design is not reflected in Stepford, they all have their numbers below.
