Overview

The Class 170 Turbostar is a diesel multiple-unit manufactured by Adtranz and Bombardier, in use on Stepford Connect. This train is formed of 3 coaches and cost 1500 points.

Trivia

  • When this train was upgraded to Next Generation, a bug was included in the update that allowed any train to run on any route using the "change route at terminus" function. As a result of this, many people drove the 170 on the Class 68-exclusive Stepford Victoria to Edgemead route for fun, as demonstrated in the photo in the gallery below. The bug has since been patched.
  • This train barely lags for most players, however, because of its similarity with the Class 357, this train tends to be unfavourable among drivers. The only difference is the number of coaches (3 vs 4 coaches) and the 357 is electric but the 170 is diesel.
  • This train is similar to the Class 171, with the main differences being length (2 vs 3 coaches) and operator (WaterLine vs Connect).
  • These trains are often found on services to Stepford United Football Club from Stepford Central, similar to the Class 185/0 and Class 331/0.
  • This is the first Turbostar train.
  • In real life, this train operated by Abellio ScotRail, CrossCountry, Northern Trains, Transport for Wales and West Midlands Trains and soon to be East Midlands Railway.
  • This train will soon have a new livery, alongside the MK3 coaches for the Class 68 and the Classes 331, 333, 350, 357, 377 and 465.
