This page is about the current signalling box for Benton station. For the former signalling centre, see: Benton Rail Operations Centre.
The Benton Signal Box is a signal box located at Benton.
The desk for Signal Zone F (Benton Area excluding Benton Bridge, and the Waterline Network excluding Airport West to Esterfield and Morganstown) is located here, along with a Supervisor desk being placed the right of it.
History
- The Signal Box was added in Version 1.7 as part of the Benton upgrade.
Trivia
- There used to be a big ROC building in Benton, however it was left vacant after V1.1, and got removed as of Version 1.7.
- If you spawn as a Passenger, you can only walk to this signal box from Benton station, however, if you spawn as a Signaller, you will be spawned near the signal box.
- This is one of the three signal boxes on the line, the others being Beaulieu Park Signal Box and the now defunct Starryloch Signal Box.
- This is the only modern style signal box on the line.
- This is the largest operating signal box on the line in terms of physical size.
- Prior to V1.9, it was rare to see a Signaller here due to the low activity on Waterline.
- After that update, Waterline’s popularity increased and with Stepford Express going to the Newry Branch, more Signallers are signalling here.

- In V1.10, Airport West and James Street were moved to Zone C and Zone G respectively, the 3 new stations added in that update[note 1] are also part of the new Zone G.
