Trivia[]

  • Prior to V1.9.1, Ashlan Park was based on Apperley Bridge Railway Station. After an overhaul in the aforementioned update, the station is based on Reston Railway Station.
  • Before The Big Update was released, players could trespass to this station and Cambridge Street Parkway. The tracks from Cambridge Street Parkway ended here and they did not continue on to Connolly.
    • There used to be a terminus branch leading from Platform 1 to 2 before its opening.
  • Ashlan Park used to be the only station with staggered platforms across the whole Stepford County Railway network.
    • However, in V1.8, Woodhead Lane was overhauled and the station's platforms have been made staggered. As of V1.9.1, Ashlan Park have been overhauled without its staggered platforms.
      • Interestingly, the revamped Ashlan Park looks like the pre-V1.8 Woodhead Lane, with a similar platform colour scheme and layout and a brown-ish bridge in the station.

  • Before V1.9.1, Ashlan Park heavily lacked scenery and there was nothing except road, bushes and the River Ben near the station, despite being called Ashlan 'Park'.
    • This made Ashlan Park one of the most disliked stations in the game, and the most disliked station on Waterline, tied with the old Cambridge Street Parkway.
      • After the overhaul in V1.9.1, better scenery was added near the station, including a park.
        • The overhaul also connected the highway near Cambridge Street Parkway to Ashlan Park. Before the overhaul, it was just weirdly cut off before the tracks to Airport West.
        • Weirdly, the 6-lane highway suddenly turns into a 2-lane level crossing with walking paths just before this station.
  • This station, Beaulieu Park and Hemdon Park are the only stations in SCR to have "park" in their names.
  • This station has step-free access.
  • Players can see the Benton Bridge, an ATC tower (probably the one at Stepford Airport) and the towers at Eden Quay if their render distance is high enough.
  • A sneak peek released on the 18th April 2022 saw this station highly speculated to be overhauled in Version 1.9. After the aforementioned update was released, it was later revealed to be Eden Quay.
    • However, Ashlan Park eventually received its overhaul one patch later, v1.9.1.
  • This station, along with West Benton's overhaul, was not sneak peeked before V1.9.1's release.
  • This is one of only five stations to have an elevator that serves more than two floors, the others being Stepford Central, Elsemere Junction, Stepford Airport Parkway and Rocket Parade.
  • Strangely, there are catenary masts installed at this station which starts from Cambridge Street Parkway to Connolly, however no electric wires are installed on them. This is likely due to the developers forgetting to add them when the station was overhauled.
    • However, the catenary masts on the Esterfield Branch have the electric wires on them, but are weirdly cut off when reaching the split towards Ashlan Park and Airport West. Despite this being very close to the catenary masts without electric wires, they were not added.
