Announcements are a feature in SCR. Announcements can be heard on all trains and stations.
Station Announcements
Station announcements are spoken by a man with a strong UK accent . Voice link: https://www.vocalware.com/index/demo, Voice: Hugh (UK)
The general announcement is when a train arrives at a through station. The format is: "Platform (number) for the (Time) Stepford Connect/WaterLine/AirLink/Stepford Express service to (destination). Calling at (all midway stations calling at after the current stop) and (destination). This train has (number) coaches." Before The Big Update, it would say this: "The train now approaching Platform (number) is the (Connect, or Waterline) service to (destination)." The calling of stations and how many coaches the train had was preserved following the update. If this is the train's last stop before arriving at the terminal, the announcement will then be: "Platform (number) for the (Time) Stepford Connect/WaterLine/AirLink/Stepford Express service to (destination). Calling at (destination) only. This train has (number) coaches."
For AirLink and Stepford Express trains, they have first class cars, as for their location, the announcement will state at the end: "First class is located at the front/middle/rear of this train."
Another type of announcement is when a train arrives at its terminus. The format is: "The train now approaching Platform (number) terminates here. This train is the service from: (station it starts service)." If the train does a full route, the (station it starts service) will be the first stop of the route. If the train is arriving from a depot or siding in the middle of the route, then the (station it starts service) will be the first stop it calls at after leaving the depot or siding. (E.g. Coxly for trains from Coxly Depot, and Benton for those from Benton Depot, etc) If the station the train is terminating is the first stop after leaving the depot or siding (e.g. trains that terminate at Stepford Central from Stepford Depot), the announcement is just: The train now approaching Platform (number) terminates here."
In the event of trains not scheduled to stop at a station passing the platform, there is a special announcement played at that station to notify passengers of the pass, as being too close to a train going too fast can fling you. The format is: "The train now approaching Platform (number) does not stop here. Please stand back from the platform edge."
If a player (as a driver) deletes his/her train in the middle of the journey, then the announcement at the stations the train would call at and at the current stop (if the train is deleted while calling at a station) will be: "Your attention please! The (Time) Stepford Connect/WaterLine/AirLink/Stepford Express service to (destination) has been cancelled! This is due to, a member of train crew being unavailable.'

Next station announcement: (after leaving a station for a certain distance)
- Connect: This is a Connect train to: (destination). the Next station is: (station).
- WaterLine: Welcome aboard this Waterline train to: (destination). The next station is: (station).
- AirLink: Welcome aboard! This is an AirLink service to: (destination). The next station is: (station).
- Express: This train is the Stepford Express service to: (destination). The next station is: (station).
- If you miss a station, for the next station the announcer will only say "The next station is: (station)" without announcing the destination of the train.
at 0.19 miles from a station: This train is now approaching: (station)
at 0.19 miles from the terminus: This train is now approaching: (station). This train terminates here. All change, please!

Short Platform announcements
At Whitney Green and Morganstown Docks, If you have a Four-car train, after the "This train is now approaching: (station)" and "This is: (station)" announcement, the Announcer will then say "Due to a short platform, the doors in coach 4 will not open at this station." The same thing happens to New Harrow, Elsemere Pond, East Berrily, and Beaulieu Park when driving a Five-car train. However, coach 4 clearly fits the station leaving the fifth car not in the station.
